Visual identity, exhibition graphics, publication

Nina Chanel Abney’s exhibition Fishing Was His Life presented a series of painting collages illustrating the black fishermen that were central to early 20th century New England marine life. I led the exhibition identity design for this show that extended to various touchpoints such as the title wall and in-gallery signage, digital ads, marketing posters that were distributed throughout the city, and an accompanying publication.

The main title design directly references the letterforms seem in Abney’s collages that were a part of the show.
