Brassaï

In 2018, I worked on the exhibition identity and graphics for the Brassaï exhibition at SFMOMA. I chose neutral gray paint colors for the interior galleries to hold the black and white photos of the French photographer. For the title wall, which is a pretty large expanse, I worked with a local vendor, LaHue and Associated, to fabricate hanging metal letters. Since Brassaï plays with light and shadow frequently in his work, the title wall was spotlighted so that shadows were created from the 3D letters. The photo mural was placed right atop the staircase as a welcoming gesture for visitors coming up the stairs.
